₹75 crore startup hub to be set up in Chennai


Palanivel Thiyaga Rajan, the Finance Minister of Tamil Nadu, allocated about ₹50 crore to the Emerging Sector Seed Fund, which will make equity investments in state-based startups and leverage capital from institutional investors.


Rajan stated in the State Legislative Assembly that the state government would establish an i-Tamil Nadu Technology hub in Chennai at a cost of ₹54.61 crore, and that the central government would coordinate efforts to use technology to solve complex challenges in the state.
