Agri-fintech startup Unnati Agri raised $8.1 million in Series A led by Incofin Investment Management, NabVantures, and Orios.
Unnati provides farmers with yield-improvement services. It also connects them with local retailers to purchase agri-inputs such as sugarcane, corn, paddy, soybean, wheat, and vegetables, as well as serving as an e-commerce platform. It will utilize the new funds to improve its technology infrastructure and expand its uStore network. Unnati claims to have served over 3 lakh farmers through its network of more than 20,000 uStores. It has begun to digitise agri-input retailers, traders, and other ecosystem participants.
