Agritech startup Absolute Foods raised $100 million in funds from Sequoia Capital India and others

Agritech startup Absolute Foods raised $100 million in its first institutional funding from Sequoia Capital India, Alpha Wave Global (AWI), and Tiger Global at a valuation of $500 million.

Absolute Foods controls the entire agricultural produce cycle, from seed to harvest. Its offering includes an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered FARM OS that can be implemented across vertical and open farms, allowing farmers to grow crops without the use of synthetic enzymes. The funds will be used to increase hiring and expand into newer geographies by the startup. It will also use the funds to strengthen its three core platforms: BioX, a bioscience R&D platform, Farm Operating System (FARM OS), and its global trade platform for farm produce.
