AI-driven search engine takes on Google with $20 million funding led by Salesforce CEO Marc

AI-driven search engine, announced the launch of its public beta with a $20 million funding round led by Salesforce CEO Marc Benioff where  Breyer Capital, Sound Ventures, Day One Ventures, and others also participated. summarizes results from across the web and is extensible with built-in search apps so that users can complete tasks without leaving the results page. According to the company, the funds will be used to fund user growth, product development, and technology as expands its platform to new users on the public web. claims that the company uses technology to help people “live better and more productive lives.”

According to Richard Socher (cofounder and CEO), the first page of Google can only be modified by paying for advertisements, which is both annoying to users and costly for companies. The  new platform will allow businesses to contribute their most useful actual content to that first page, and if users like it, they can take action right away. Most companies and partners will prefer this new interface to people's digital lives over Google's old status quo.
