Amazon aggregator startup Thrasio has raised more than $1 billion led by Silver Lake


Amazon aggregator startup, Thrasio, raised $1 billion in Series D led by Silver Lake where existing investors including Advent International, Upper90, Oaktree Capital Management and Peak6 also participated.


The US-based startup, Thrasio,acquires top-rated and fast-growing Amazon sellers and provides them with technology, digital marketing, and sales expertise to help them grow faster. It claims to be the largest acquirer of Amazon FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon) brands that compete with well-known brands. Thrasio will use this funds to continue acquiring promising brands, both domestically and internationally, as well as to expand distribution through new channels. Accoding to Carlos CashmanWhile, co-founder and chief executive officer, the company plans to expand to India and explore other online retail platforms.
