Amazon Prime Video launched a movie rental service in India; plans to introduce 40 new titles


In India, Amazon Prime Video launched a transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) movie rental service. At its first 'Prime Video Presents India' event in Mumbai, the over-the-top (OTT) platform unveiled its latest addition.


The recently launched TVOD Service will provide early rental access to the most recent Indian and international films. In addition, it will provide a catalogue of popular movies from around the world on a transactional (per-movie) basis. India has remained one of Prime Video's fastest-growing markets. Today, Prime Video India has viewers from 99 percent of the country's pin codes: Gandhi, Gaurav.
