Amazon seller services gets fresh infusion of $196 million from its parent company

The seller marketplace of the US-based ecommerce giant, Amazon Seller Services Private Limited, received $196 million in a corporate round from its parent company.

Amazon Corporate Holdings Private Limited will invest $195 million, while Amazon.com.incs Ltd will pay $9,012. The investment follows Amazon's $134 million investment in Amazon Pay India. The new investment in Amazon Seller Services appears to be part of Amazon's goal of making further inroads into the country's tier III and tier IV towns.
