Andreessen Horowitz to invest $500 million in Indian startups


Andreessen Horowitz, also known as a16z, is looking to expand its investment portfolio in India by investing $500 million to support startups in India.


The venture capital firm is currently hiring for multiple investment roles in India. In October 2021, a16z was the first to invest in CoinSwitch Kuber, leading a $260 million funding round that saw the crypto startup become India's second crypto unicorn. According to the report, a number of partners at the firm, including Seema Amble and Sumeet Singh, have been working with several Indian startups in recent months.
