Apple introduced $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund


Apple introduced $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund to assist in the upskilling and training of workers across its supply chain services.


The fund, according to the company, will be used to provide learning opportunities and skill development for employees of its manufacturing partners. India, along with workers in the manufacturing divisions of the United States, China, and Vietnam, will be among the first countries to benefit from the $50 million fund. Apple stated in a statement that by 2023, it expects more than 100,000 supplier employees to participate in programmes such as leadership training, technical certifications, coding, robotics, and advanced manufacturing fundamentals such as green manufacturing.
