The iPhone maker just launched its own book club in its Apple Books app for readers in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia, where it will curate both fiction and non-fiction titles.
However, unlike Apple's other editorial efforts in apps such as Apple Podcasts and the App Store, the club's selections aren't curated by an anonymous team of editors. Instead, Canadian media personality and Apple Music Hits host George "Strombo" Stroumboulopoulos is curating Apple's book club selections.
In fact, the book club is known as "Strombo's Lit." Despite the fact that Stroumboulopoulos works for Apple Music, the book club will not focus on music-related titles. The theme of Strombo's Lit, on the other hand, is fairly broad: it will provide a lens through which to better view the world, according to Apple. The club's target demographic will be anyone who is interested in learning the stories of some of the world's best authors.
