Bessemer Venture Partners raised $220 million for early-stage India investments


Bessemer Venture Partners closed an India-dedicated early-stage focussed fund with a $220 million corpora. Along with the raised fund, the venture capital firm (VC) has also appointed ex-India Resurgence Fund executive and VixCap founder Nithin Kaimal. Kaimal joins Bessemer as COO of the VC's Bengaluru office, where he will be in charge of operations, portfolio services, and fund governance.


Bessemer Venture Partners is a global venture capital firm that currently manages over $9 billion in venture capital. It has invested in approximately 200 companies worldwide, with over 135 IPOs in sectors such as enterprise, consumer, and healthcare. Pinterest, Shopify, Twilio, Yelp, LinkedIn, PagerDuty, DocuSign, Wix, Fiverr, and Toast are among Bessemer's global portfolio companies, while its Indian portfolio includes seven IPOs and five unicorns, including LivSpace, Home First Finance, PharmEasy, BigBasket, Swiggy, Urban Company, and Perfios.
