BIF called for a level playing field in 5G spectrum allocation

The Broadband India Forum (BIF) called for a level playing field in 5G spectrum allocation after the telecom representative body – Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI) – representing telecom players wrote to the telecom ministry.

According to the BIF, a think tank representing private broadband players and a policy forum for digital communications, public and captive private 5G networks operate two distinct sets of services with distinct requirements and do not compete. The demands of the COAI were also labelled as irrational, absurd, and impractical.
