Bulk visa issuances & faster business licensing among UAE’s initiatives to attract top digital hub

UAE launched a major campaign on Wednesday to attract digitally-enabled companies and highly skilled talent to the country, as part of its larger goal of becoming a global digital hub.

Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, the minister of state for foreign trade, stated at a press conference that the "NextGenFDI" initiative aims to attract more than 300 global technology firms, while also encouraging software developers, data scientists, and coders to relocate to the UAE. To achieve this goal, the ministry first formed alliances with seven major companies and business districts, including Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) and Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), freezones Dubai South and DMCC, tech hub Dubai Internet City, banks Emirates NBD, and digital bank WIO.
