Indian cricketers will continue to wear the brand name of edtech firm BYJU on their jerseys. The BCCI has extended the edtech firm's sponsorship rights until the October-November 2023 ODI World Cup.
The edtech firm will pay the Indian cricket board approximately 10% more than the current value under the new agreement. The BCCI has extended the edtech company's sponsorship rights until the October-November 2023 ODI World Cup. In 2019, BYJU'S took over the sponsorship contract from Chinese smartphone manufacturer Oppo. The extension will allow BYJU'S to continue marketing its brand on Indian kits for a number of high-profile events, including this year's T20 World Cup in Australia and next year's ODI World Cup.
