CEO of 19 companies accused of selling $1 billion in counterfeit Cisco devices

A US court has charged a man with running 19 companies, at least 15 Amazon storefronts, ten eBay storefronts, and multiple other entities that sold $1 billion in fraudulent and counterfeit Cisco networking devices.

Onur Aksoy, aka Ron Aksoy, aka Dave Durden, 38, of Miami, was charged by a federal grand jury in the District of New Jersey with running a massive operation over many years to traffic in fraudulent and counterfeit Cisco networking equipment worth more than $1 billion. He imported tens of thousands of counterfeit Cisco devices from China and Hong Kong and resold them to customers in the United States and elsewhere, falsely representing the products as new and genuine, according to the US Department of Justice.
