Cloud kitchen startup Bigspoon raised $12.56 million in a strategic funding led by Indian Angel Network (IAN) where institutional investors NB Ventures, Go-Ventures, LetsVenture, Grip Invest, Anicut Capital, and actor Mouni Roy also participated.


Bigspoon is a multi-brand omnichannel cloud kitchen startup focused primarily on Tier II cities. The startup claims to be targeting underserved and untapped markets. The funding will be used to expand the startup's footprint and add more than 250 kitchens across 80 cities in India, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East. It will also use the funds to increase hiring for key leadership positions and to invest more in client technology. Bigspoon will also use the funds to expand its top-tier brands and strengthen its backward integration in order to better leverage its supply chain. The expansion will primarily target Tier II cities, and the funds will be used to'strengthen the food delivery experience.'
