OnePlus Cofounder Carl Pei's upcoming venture company has raised an undisclosed funding led by Kunal Shah. “Carl is working on a new consumer electronics company that I am sure will be a disruptor in the tech industry. I am excited to be part of this journey,” Shah said.
While Pei hasn't spared any details on his yet-unnamed venture but he recently told Wired that they will launch audio-related products next year. “We are in advanced stages of our vision and are excited to introduce it to the world soon,” Pei said. The venture is expected to be officially unveiled on January 27.
In December, Pei had raised $7 mn financing from a clutch of prominent investors including iPod inventor Tony Fadell, Twitch Cofounder Kevin Lin, Reddit chief executive Steve Huffman, PCH founder and chief executive Liam Casey, prominent YouTuber Casey Neistat, Product Hunt chief executive Josh Buckley, and Summit founder Paddy Cosgrave.
