Crypto developer ConsenSys raised $450 million in Series D led by ParaFi Capital


Crypto developer ConsenSys raised $450 million in Series D led by ParaFi Capital where existing investors Third Point, Marshall Wace, True Capital Management and UTA VC, United Talent Agency’s venture fund with new investors including Temasek, SoftBank Vision Fund 2, Microsoft, Anthos Capital, Sound Ventures and C Ventures also participated.


ConsenSys is a blockchain software technology business created by Joseph Lubin, with offices in Brooklyn, New York, and Washington, D.C. and San Francisco in the United States. Infura currently has 430,000 developers utilising it, up from 350,000 in November, and its API now enables over $1 trillion in annualised on-chain ETH transaction volume, according to ConsenSys. Both on the development and user wallet sides, the business intends to grow its team from 700 personnel now to over 1,000 by the end of the year.
