Cybersecurity experts involved in investigation arrested for stealing ₹20 Cr worth Cryptocurrencies

Pune Police have arrested two cybersecurity experts, Pankaj Prakash Ghode, 38, and ex-IPS Ravindranath Prabhakar Patil, 45, for stealing INR 20 crore worth of cryptocurrencies during the investigation illegally transferred to them had their own purses, according to the latest development in the GainBitcoin case.

The two defendants were sent to the Pune District and Circuit Court. Both offenders were ordered to be kept in police custody for seven days by the court. Amit Bhardwaj, Ajay Bhardwaj, and their team members are accused of assisting the police in retrieving cryptocurrency from the GainBitcoin Ponzi scheme. The authorities detained 17 people and confiscated 241,475 bitcoins, 452 bitcoin cash, and 94 ethers from Amit and Vivek Kumar Bhardwaj with the help of these two.
