D2C beauty brand Plum raised $35 million in Series C led by A91 Partners where existing investors Unilever Ventures and Faering Capital also participated.
Plum offers vegan, cruelty-free, and toxin-free beauty products in the categories of skincare, haircare, personal care, and makeup. The new funding will be used to expand its omnichannel presence, accelerate expansion in categories other than skincare, enter new geographies, and invest in marketing and technology. Plum claims to have an offline presence in 250 towns and cities, with nearly 1,000 assisted outlets and over 10,000 unassisted outlets. In addition, the company has three exclusive outlets in Mumbai and Chennai, with plans to expand to 12-15 outlets in the next 2-3 months.
