D2C platform Lummo raised $80 million Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos. Lummo provides Shopify-like direct to consumer (D2C) software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution for entrepreneurs and brands.
BukuKas, a bookkeeping app for MSMEs, was launched in 2020, and the company expanded its business by launching Tokko, an online direct-to-consumer commerce builder. Tokko has since been rebranded as LummoShop. According to a senior company official, the funds will be used to help the company expand its talent base in India, where it plans to more than triple its tech and product workforce. In 2022, the company's investment in Indian talent will triple across product, engineering, strategy, HR, and finance teams. According to the company, the internet sector in Southeast Asia is rapidly developing, with Indonesia leading the way.
