Direct-to-customer (D2C) skincare startup Foxtale raised $4 million in Pre-Series A led by Matrix Partners India, where existing investor Kae Capital with a few angel investors also participated.
Foxtale introduced four basic products that represented a four-step skincare routine. The incoming funds will be used by the early-stage startup to expand its product line, hire senior vertical leadership, and scale the business. Foxtale also claims that it only launches products after 97% of its community approves of their efficacy. By 2025, India's beauty and personal care segment will have a total market opportunity of $37.2 billion.
