Agritech platform DeHaat raised $30 mn in Series C funding led by Prosus Ventures (previously Naspers) where existing investors Sequoia Capital India, FMO, Omnivore, and AgFunder also participated in the round. Dexter Capital was the exclusive advisor of this funding round.
With an aim to aggregate 10 mn Indian farmers while helping them to also increase their profitability, the platform integrates a digital marketplace with a rural network of last-mile service delivery centers and connects various agricultural companies with farmers. It proudly states that their platform has experienced 3.5x annual growth over the past two, has served over 360,000 farmers.
DeHaat would use the funding to expand to different geographies, strengthening technology in deep tech and data science, expanding its value-added service for farmers on the platform, and strategic investment and acquisitions.
