Delhi HC denied Snapdeal's request for injunction in trademark infringement case

The Delhi High Court denied Snapdeal's request for temporary relief against domain name registrars (DNRs) in a trademark infringement case on Tuesday.

The ecommerce startup requested that all registrations granted by these DNRs be revoked, claiming that these DNRs infringed on its trademark, 'Snapdeal.' "This could be a time-consuming and exhausting exercise." It is unavoidable. "There is no short cut to justice," the Delhi High Court stated. Snapdeal claimed in court that such domains are facilitating illegal activities in its name.
