Digital banking startup Jupiter raised $2 million

Digital banking startup Jupiter raised an additional $2 million led by British venture capital firm Hummingbird Ventures & US-based Bedrock Capital, values Jupiter about $100 million The startup, which is currently in stealth mode, plans to officially launch its flagship product in July. Its 50-member team is based largely out of Mumbai and Bengaluru. Jupiter will provide savings account, investments & lending services to the salaried individuals with an income of Rs 50k+, in partnership with a large private bank. It is unclear if the company will apply for a banking licence on its own.
