Digital payments and children’s pocket money app Junio raised $6 million led by UAE-based NB Ventures where the Rajiv Dadlani Group also participated.
Junio provides a'smartcard' that allows children to make both offline and online purchases. The new funds would be used to expand the company's team, launch new product features, and scale up customer acquisition initiatives. Junio's core user demographic currently consists of children and teenagers aged 10 to 16. The startup's goal is to instil financial discipline and awareness in children in a fun and practical way.
