Dubai announced new initiative to be first autism destination in MENA

Dubai is set to become the first-ever Certified Autism Destination, as the emirate strives to improve accessibility and inclusion for visitors from all over the world.

The first phase of this initiative, in collaboration with the Dubai Economy and Tourism department and the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), includes access to specialised autism-specific training for staff across all Dubai attractions, hospitality, and entertainment organisations. The training will "improve staff knowledge, understanding, and communication, guest experience, and safety strategies in order to better serve and accommodate people of determination," according to the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES).
