Dubai reveals priorities as it positions itself as a global business hub

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, recently launched "Dubai Global," an initiative to establish 50 integrated commercial representative offices for Dubai across five continents in the coming years, as part of Dubai's goal to position itself as one of the world's best business hubs.

The UAE launched a new FDI programme to attract 300 digital companies as part of the country's larger campaign to position itself as a global business hub. "Our goal is to globalise our national companies, attract global investments, and add new markets to our global business lines," Sheikh Hamdan stated. According to Coursera's Global Skills Report, which was released in June 2022, the UAE also rose to the top of the global rankings in terms of overall business skill proficiency.
