Edtech decacorn BYJU’s acquired Austria-headquartered mathematics learning tools startup GeoGebra. According to sources, the transaction is worth around $100 million. This is Byju's ninth major purchase of the year.


GeoGebra combines geometry, algebra, spreadsheets, graphing, statistics, and calculus into a single user-friendly learning platform. He was able to continue developing the software as part of his PhD project in mathematics education thanks to a DOC scholarship from the Austrian Academy of Sciences. GeoGebra will continue to operate as a separate entity within the Byju group, led by its Founder and Developer, Markus Hohenwarter. GeoGebra has a rapidly growing community of over 100 million learners in 195 countries.
