Edtech startup Classplus to raise $62 million in Series D led by existing investors Alpha Wave Ventures and Tiger Global where Abu Dhabi’s Chimera Investment and existing investor TRP Global Partners also participated.
Classplus is a K-12 learning platform that provides educators with full-stack mobile solutions. It aids educators in attracting students to their online courses. It claims to have digitised over 1 lakh tutors serving 20 million students across 1,500 cities. According to the company's website, tier II and III cities account for more than 80% of its customer base. Classplus plans to expand in Southeast Asian markets such as Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia, in addition to India.
