Edtech startup PlanetSpark raised $13.5 million in Series B led by Prime Venture Partners


Edtech startup PlanetSpark raised $13.5 million in Series B led by Prime Venture Partners where Binny Bansal, Deep Kalra, Ashish Gupta, Gokul Rajaram and Shirish Nadkarni also participated. The startup had previously raised $3.7 million from Prime Ventures, FIITJEE and some angel networks. This round brings PlanetSpark's total funding to $17.2 million.


PlanetSpark is an online education platform that assists children aged 4 to 16 in improving their communication skills. The platform's curriculum includes storytelling, debate, podcasting, stand-up comedy, and other activities. PlanetSpark claims a 30% month-on-month growth rate and has coached students in over 1 million classes across 13 countries. It has expanded 45 times in the last year and plans to expand another 30 times in the next two years to become the top global go-to destination for learning communication skills. The newly injected funds will be used to accelerate business growth, product development, and international expansion.
