Egypt’s SaaS platform Zeew raised $630K SEED from Plug and Play Ventures & others

B2B SaaS platform Zeew raised $630K in a seed round from Plug and Play Ventures, Poland Prize, and angel investors. The startup was launched in November 2017 as a B2B on-demand last-mile delivery company for small businesses, focusing on flower shops, cosmetic shops, and bookstores. The startup is also based in Estonia and offers on-demand delivery technology built on the Ethereum blockchain.

Zeew offers its customers the platform to manage all their business from a single admin dashboard. The startup also owns a reseller program that allows any entrepreneur to start their own business by reselling the startup’s automated systems under their own domain and own brand, setting their own reseller prices. Zeew pivoted by the end of 2019 due to high competition, Mohamed Ghaith, the Founder and CEO, commented, “We had built a great technology out of our needs and we decided to offer it to the public as a one-time payment at the beginning but soon we realized how hard it was to maintain many clients on the separate codebase and we moved to SaaS and since then we have grown to 100+ countries.”

The new fund will be used to grow Zeew’s team and customer base in new markets, as the B2B SaaS platform continues helping businesses build marketplaces including logistics. Ghaith added that the startup’s automated platform has created a full ecosystem for businesses, such that in a few clicks, the business E-commerce store is created and connected to its native client ordering apps, vendor apps, drivers apps, dispatcher, accounting system, and more.
