Facebook has acquired Kustomer, a startup specialising in customer-service platforms and chatbots, for a reported sum of $1 billion.
Kustomer is the omnichannel SaaS CRM platform reimagining enterprise customer service to deliver standout experiences. It scales to meet the needs of any contact center and business by unifying data from multiple sources, enabling companies to deliver service and support through a single timeline view.
"Facebook eventually expects to host Kustomer data on secure Facebook infrastructure," said Dan Levy, VP of Ads and Business Products. Further, Facebook will act as a service provider at the instruction of business customers.
