Huawei joins World Cloud Show to address key opportunities and challenges in MENA’s cloud computing
With countries like the UAE and Saudi Arabia having already set its Digital Vision, more and more countries in the Gulf are joining the race to take the lead in digital competitiveness. Currently, the MENA region stands to be the most potential market for cloud computing as governments in the region are looking to use cloud-based platforms and applications for economic development through public-private partnerships. The MENA edition of World Cloud Show will virtually connect major stakeholders of the region’s cloud computing ecosystem on 30 November 2020.
The conference will provide an online platform for government authorities, top cloud solution providers, IT leaders and influential think-tanks to highlight and discuss trends, strategies, challenges and investment opportunities in MENA’s burgeoning cloud market. The show will be hosted on the virtual events platform Vmeets to help participants network and conduct business in an interactive and immersive virtual environment. Participants can also engage with speakers in Q&A sessions and network with solution providers in virtual exhibition booths, private consultation rooms and private networking rooms.
“The Covid-19 pandemic has increased the demand for cloud computing in the MENA region,” said Mithun Shetty, CEO of Trescon. He further stated, “However, organizations that are new to the cloud are finding it difficult to move data, applications or other business elements to a cloud computing environment. The show will aim to explore the market dynamics behind the move towards cloud technology and the challenges faced by enterprises on maturity when adopting cloud.”
The agenda of the conference will explore key areas in cloud adoption such as the Effective framework for Cloud Deployment in the Middle East; Cloud Intelligence for Middle East Governments and Enterprises; Cloud Infrastructure and Strategies for the MENA Government Authorities and Improving Threat Intelligence, Detection, and Response for Cloud Security; to name a few.
