Hypersocial gaming startup Bombay Play raised $7 million in Series A led by Kalaari Capital with participation from investors including Winzo, AdvantEdge VC and AMEA Ventures where existing investors including Lumikai Fund, Leo Capital and PlayCo. also participated.


Bombay Play focuses on the hypersocial gaming genre, which consists of HTML5-based casual games that are designed with a social-first approach and are playable instantly across multiple platforms. Bombay Play will use the new funds to expand its existing hypersocial game offerings, support upcoming projects, and invest in segment innovation. Since its inception, Bombay Play claims to have grown 3X year on year (YoY). It currently employs 50 people but plans to double that number by the end of fiscal year 2022.
