JingleBid, a reverse auction platform allows user to put up an auction for the product she/he wants

Let’s face it, we love a bargain! We love discount sales, we love haggling in the bazaar, even at a vegetable store, we want free coriander & curry leaves! It’s part of our way of life. We like to make well informed commercial decisions. One of the ways we do it is by comparing the price of products across vendors. We don’t mind the effort of going from store to store, calling different stores, checking various online prices before making that decision. But what if you could do all this in one place and that too in the comfort of your couch.

This is exactly what a group of entrepreneurs have done with their app called JingleBid. JingleBid is a reverse auction platform that allows the user to put up an auction for the product that she/he wants and lets sellers around her/him bid their best price for the product. The user then can decide where to buy from based on the price and rating of the seller. The app is available for download on both the App Store & play store. The operations are focussed currently in Chennai but the team has an aggressive national expansion strategy over the next 3 years. The current product listing primarily covers Consumer electronics & home appliances, however you can request for any product on the

app and they will support the same. Another interesting category that is gaining considerable traction is automobiles.
