Jobandtalent raised $108 mn for its 'workforce as a service' platform

Jobandtalent, a digital temporary staffing agency that operates a dual-sided platform that connects temp workers with employers needing regular casual labor in sectors like transport and logistics, raised about $ 108 mn to its Series C. The recent infusion will be spent on expanding into more markets and doubling down on growing its existing footprint.

The startup has raised more than $290 mn to date over its decade+ run and claims that more than 80,000 workers have used its platform to secure temporary gigs in the last year across the seven markets where it operates in several regions like Spain, U.K., Germany, France, Sweden, Mexico and Colombia.

The company aims on competing with traditional staffing agencies such as Adecco and Randstad, though other similar startups are cropping up to cater to an ever more precarious temporary employment market.
