Metaverse, AR & NFT activations to boost Saudi’s billion-dollar gaming industry under new Mastercard
Under a new partnership between Mastercard and the Saudi Esports Federation, a variety of innovations, including metaverse and augmented reality (AR) activations, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), gamer and fan loyalty solutions, and a gaming virtual Mastercard card, will all help Saudi Arabia's billion-dollar gaming industry (SEF).
In line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, the two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to pioneer new and unique products, services, and solutions and deliver them to gamers and consumers across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). "We are delighted to partner with the Saudi Esports Federation," said Dimitrios Dosis, Mastercard's president for Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (SEF). This historic agreement will help to highlight the new technologies that are helping to transform the kingdom into a leading hub for gaming and esports, as well as for business, tourism, leisure, and innovation more broadly.
