Myntra set to hire 7,000 people in its supply chain, warehouses

Adding more cheer to the upcoming festive season, Flipkart-owned Myntra is hiring over 7,000 people in its supply chain and warehouses.

These are temporary hires for the festive sale period. However, after the last sale in June, Myntra had absorbed most of the 5,000 people it had hired initially on a temporary basis. Ecommerce platforms usually pay around Rs 20,000 per month plus incentives for people hired for the sale season.

Preparing up for its week-long festive sale starting later this week, the platform has also ramped up its customer contact centre by adding 1,000 people. For each of the employees working from home, the company has also handed out an allowance of Rs 20,000 to set up a home office ahead of the sale.

This year, the ‘Big Fashion Festival’, or Myntra’s seven-day shopping event, is being held from October 16 to 22.“We have ramped up our supply chain capabilities considerably and made the biggest ever festive hiring to ensure we continue to offer the best to our customers,” Myntra chief executive Amar Nagaram said
