Netflix introduced game handles for its iOS and Android mobile games

Netflix announced today the addition of a new feature to its games service that will allow members to create game handles while playing its exclusive titles.

The game handles allow Netflix subscribers to create a unique username that can be used across all of Netflix’s games, including multiplayer titles like Rival Pirates, where the handles could help identify players, and other games with leaderboards, such as Dominoes Café and Lucky Luna. Game handles, according to Netflix, will help players discover other gamers, make friends, and play together. These social features were also recently spotted in development, with references in the mobile app’s code indicating that the company was working on ways for users to invite each other to play games, show when they’re online with a status, and more.
