Reliance Jio to launch a beta trial of 5G services in four cities

Reliance Jio announced the beta launch of its 5G (True-5G) services on Dussehra (October 5) in four cities: Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Varanasi on Tuesday (October 4).

Jio will invite select users to use its 5G services as part of the beta launch as part of the ‘Jio True 5G Welcome Offer.’ Furthermore, the telecom operator will solicit customer feedback on the services and their experiences. Users who are chosen will receive unlimited 5G data at speeds of up to 1 Gbps+. They will not be required to change their current Jio SIM card and will be automatically upgraded to Jio’s 5G service. Jio stated that the beta trial will continue until the telecom operator covers the entire city in order to provide better coverage and experience to all customers.
