Self-driving startup Minus Zero raised $1.7 million led by Chiratae Ventures

Self-driving startup Minus Zero raised $1.7 million led by Chiratae Ventures where JITO Angel Network and senior executives from tech companies like Nvidia, and Lyft also participated. This is the first time an Indian self-driving car company has received venture capital funding.

Minus Zero claims to be developing an affordable self-driving technology that employs high-end, high-definition cameras, extensive data collection, and sensors such as LIDAR. The funds will be used primarily for expanding autonomous vehicle research and development, infrastructure, and hiring more people. The team plans to make their first autonomous vehicle use-case public in late 2022 or early 2023.
