Unacademy has extended its remote work policy till January 1, The move comes on the back of a bunch of employees testing positive for Covid-19 when its Bengaluru office reopened in May-June.
Unacademy said the move will provide employees with predictability around their jobs and is in keeping with the current Covid-19 situation.
“In these uncertain times, giving as much clarity and certainty to employees is very necessary, because it aids in efficiency and bringing out productivity,” said Tina Balachandran, VP of HR at Unacademy.
Unacademy has also introduced a special package for staff during this period, covering costs of Covid-19 testing for employees and dependents, offering an allowance for purchase of health kits and taking care of the cost of quarantine facilities in case it is required. The company will also reimburse employees for setting up home offices, apart from offering employees and their family access to a 24/7 helpline for mental health assistance.
