YouTube removed more than 1.7 million videos from the streaming platform in India

India accounted for the largest chunk of YouTube videos removed during the quarter ended September 2022, as per tech giant Google’s quarterly transparency report.

More than 1.7 million videos were removed from the streaming platform in India alone, out of a total of 5.6 million. Indonesia came in second with 0.62 million video removals. In the previous June quarter, Google removed 1.32 million videos in India. Between July and September, Google banned 737.5 million comments on the YouTube platform worldwide.
